I’ve just had a call from someone purporting to be from Premium BT offering me reduced rates. They said that my landline charges would be invoiced from Openreach and my Broadband etc would be invoiced from BT Retail, something to do with companies splitting. Their figures were very impressive, almost half my current charges. I was beginning to be suspicious when the batteries on my cordless phone failed and the connection was lost. This may have been a fortunate interruption as they haven’t rung back, but I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience or have I missed out on a good opportunity? I would have thought that if it was legitimate then BT would have posted some sort of invitation.
