We have been notified that we shall soon be switched to DV Voice. Visited bt.com/dvequipment to order a compatible cordless handset as instructed on the info received from BT. Entered our land line number and get told we don't qualify for a free handset. Am I misunderstanding what they say?
possibly when check made your number does not show digital voice yet. try phoning CS 150 and ask for the free DV phone
I've been on DV since 26/1/22 , I checked last week and i'm not eligible either. I had a look on BT shop web site for a suitable DV phone Quicklinx: GN5MDOR1 @£44.98.
You can still use your existing phone.

that is just today you have had DV so maybe trying CS 150 again may get you a DV phone free
It shouldn't cost you a penny. What you saw was the standard retail price, a 100% discount should be applied at checkout
Panasonic never did show when you have a voice message unless you set it up on it’s base station, to shorter ring times. You do however see an indication that there has been a call. “Out of Area” on caller display is a minor irritation, however.
1471, 1571, 1572 is still active as a BT option.
Ah, that would make a difference, bang goes the discount
