block someone from phoning me

how do i stop a person phoning me....i have a bt landline but an old fashioned phone with no display . Could you please advise how i can get BT to block a number for me.

any advice that an idiot could follow would be appreciated

Should you have call protect on your line then call 1572 and follow the instructions to block a number, you can also do this online by managing your landline / digital voice and block it there.

Also providing you are the account holder you can contact BT and they will block the number as well.

hi sorry if this is a daft query but am i correct in saying that according to the price list you were good enough to send me  there is a free service that will send any number you choose to block directly to voicemail  which you can then decide whether you want to listen to them or not......and another service that will block selected numbers completely but this is for £6.86...is this £6.86 every bill ?

The £6.86 for Choose to refuse is a monthly charge. Call Protect is free as already mentioned.
