I am trying to setup a spare Home Hub 6 as an access point. I have attached the Home Hub via Ethernet to my laptop, opened up a browser page in Firefox and typed in 192.168.1.254 to access the hub. However I get site not found. This has been further exacerbated by new webpages generated with msftconnecttest? Whatever that is?
Can anybody offer any suggestions?
Thanks in anticipation.
Temporarily connect the HH6 to line, disable smart setup and DHCP, give it its new address outside of the DHCP range of the master hub, save the changes and disconnect. Then try connecting at the new address.
msftconnecttest pops up when Windows 10 check for internet connectivity fails
Many thanks for your prompt response.
My initial problem is getting access to the Home Hub manager. When I put in the IP address for the hub, 9 times out of 10 I cannot establish a connection. Very occasionally I do gain access, I put in the admin password and the response I get is that the password is wrong. This is despite the fact I have reset the hub. I find it very baffling.
