Ask the Experts: Hub 4

I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread based on the AtE discussion that is due tonight at 19:00.

Some Q's to follow that I may ask (rather than everyone asking the same ones) and after a chance to discuss these answers between ourselves on this thread, perhaps.....:|

Q1. Are the antennae omni directional?

Q2. I don't think they are, but are they (the antennae) also multi polarised?

Q3. Why are the antennae internal and part of the reverse side of the PCB?

Q4. Why are the stats no longer available on the adsl version?

Q5. A BNIB hub has a firmware version of 4.7.5.1.83.8.130.1.2 (Type A), which changes to
4.7.5.1.83.8.130.1.5.1.1 (Type A) which again changes to 4.7.5.1.83.8.130.1.10 (Type A). What does each firmware do, as in solve or cure or almost cure?

Q6. Is there a known issue why the wireless speed is faster than via ethernet?

Q7. Why is the 2.4GHz range less than the HH3 when at a distance from the hub, but better close up than the HH3?

Q8. Is it possible for BT to allow us to move the BTWifi SSID's to another channel, leaving our own SSID on a less congested channel?

Q9. Is the HH4 going to be used for BT's new offering of 4G, if so is this built in?

That'll do for now;)

Re: Ask the Experts: Hub 4

When will the BT WIFI disable function be fixed on home hub 4?

At the moment when you opt out of BT WIFI it is only disabled on 2.4ghz WIFI and not 5ghz and remains showing as active on the hub!

See this thread as it is a problem affecting all users trying to opt out and needs fixing ASAP.

Re: Ask the Experts: Hub 4

someone should ask whether if they can fix the blinking issue and orange light issue for using HH4 as a slave router. I have asked but my question has not been included, I am guessing they are doing this for publicity.

yeah I can tell, I know your quesitons are pretty good but if you notice that JacquiBT is deliberately choosing the questions she wants to go through. The whole chat is based around the fact that they have added 5ghz. I am appauled as I was hoping to at least ask one question.
