@cvld disable IPv6 if your on a windows 10 machine, this is what's causing the problem.
i was in same boat, randomly every few hrs for about 5 minutes my ping would go insane but dropping back to IPv4 fix's the problem.
if it's xbox or playstation though you will be in for a wait, as we can't manually turn off IPv6 on the router
