BT Home Hub 4

Hi
About 2 days ago now we started having issues with our.. well everything
The phone makes hissing or crackly noises when router is connected "BT says there's no issues with the phone line"
The router works about 10/90 it flashes orange and will go blue for about 5 minutes to an hour and then flash orange again.
We have 2 filters, an old and a newer one, neither work
The test socket made no difference
And we bought a new wire for the router/filter, still no luck.
I have scoured the forums and can't find any immediate help
So any ideas/inputs will be greatly appreciated

Re: BT Home Hub 4

If you connect phone to the test socket does it work and assuming it does then try quiet line test. Dial 17070 option 2. Should be quiet and best with corded phone if cordless then dull hum normal

Re: BT Home Hub 4

So apparently we have tried the test socket because there isn't one, any ideas where it might be ?

Re: BT Home Hub 4

Your master socket is first socket in your home where phone wires enter your home.  test socket.jpg

Re: BT Home Hub 4

Something has quickly popped up, now when you call someone from the house phone and the person answers, the Internet starts working and the router goes blue.
The second you hang up however, it starts flashing orange
