BT Home Hub 5 with Apple Airport Extreme

Hi I wondered if anyone can help at all. Having moved house I have just signed up to BT Infinity 1 as I can’t get Virgin.

I want to be able to set up my BT HH5 in bridge mode and use my Apple Airport Extreme to do everything (as I used to do when I was with Virgin.)

Looking on this forum it would seem the HH5 doesn’t do Brisge mode so:
Do I have to buy an old modem to do Bridge Mode?
Or can I set them both up in some way (have tried that but with no joy double NAT issues)?

If anyone is able to say or point me to articles on setting up the best way, would rather not have to buy another modem or likewise junk my Apple Airport Extreme which two computers use the time machine function on.

Not in IT so just doing this following online articles. So any good clear articles/previous posts.

If I do have to buy a modem are there articles on setting up the best way, already spent half a day on this. Sorry if they are previous articles on this but when I searched everything seemed to be from years ago and old home hubs.

Running Macs OS X Yosemite/iPhones 6 and a Humax with ethernet for TV. (Not using BT TV.)

Any help would be super appreciated spent nearly a day trying to sort this.

There is something here using the HH3, which may help.

Re: BT Home Hub 5 with Apple Airport Extreme

Just get an Openreach modem from a well known auction site.
