BT Home Hub 6 - Some devices see it, others don't

Hello,

Very odd scenario here.

Some of my devices can see my network and connect fine. Chromebook, android phone, Dell laptop.

Others, my network is not listed in the available network list even though the devices are inches apart. HP PC, a different Dell laptop and an old Windows phone can't see the network.

Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

Have you got both 2.4ghz and 5ghz enabled.

Some devices will only recognise 2.4ghz in the Home Hub 6.

Re: BT Home Hub 6 - Some devices see it, others don't

Thanks busterboy1

According to the 'Advanced Wireless' panel both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz are active. I'm not convinced 2.4ghz is though. The devices that can pick up my wifi are using 5ghz and the 2.4ghz network ID is not visible in the available networks list.

Does this make sense. Would a router reboot have any effect?

try a factory reset by pressing the recessed button on back and holding for 20/30 secs until lights flash

then remember to turn off smart setup and I would also split the networks

have you turned of smart setup

Turn Off smart setup

Split the networks
