BT Home hub2 upgrade to TP Link AX6000 wifi router

Hi,

My first post, hopefully, it is going to the right board 🙂

I am on fibre to the house and have a home hub 2.

I have been trying to install a TP Link AX6000.

When I login into onto the wifi for the router I get the following:

SERVICE INFORMATION

You have been connected to this page due to one of the following reason etc

PAGE maintained by bt wholesale.

During the router setup it states at the end, congratulations, you are now connected to the internet!

Ps think of a newbie, then place me below that!

Thanks, everyone!

Somewhere in the router settings will be the PPPoE login credentials. You need to enter bthomehub@btbroadband.com as the username and BT as the password.

Re: BT Home hub2 upgrade to TP Link AX6000 wifi router

Hi, ive got my eye on this router as well, how have you found it so far? Im interested to find out if you have noticed any change to the behavour of your AC devices such as being more responsive.

I have FTTC but i have a HG612. you dont mention if you have BT vision which is something im looking into (sky are charging me a small fortune).

How would you rate it compared to the smarthub?

Hi @Orac1,

Thanks for posting. Did @licquorice advice work for you? Are you able to help @AndyCoffin?

Cheers

I beleve @licquorice is correct in his advice on this problem, its what i would have said.

I am just asking myself about the device as my smart hub is showing signs of starting to die on the 5g band so was looking at the router the op says is currently using.
