Was thinking about taking up the BT Infinity Black Friday offer. Currently with Sky for broadband (ADSL2) though have our land line with Bt (since day one). Dug a bit with BT online chat and it seems that if our current older BT master socket needs changing, there would be an extra charge.
Here is the current socket, right next to the front door. Cable comes through the wall, directly into the socket, and no extensions. Though its a twin socket, its been used as a single for a very long time, and the other side is physcially disconnected as well.
So does anyone know if it 'will' need it doing, as BT are no doubt likely to charge a fotune?. I believe before self-installs became popular (for the ISP), any work like this was included(?).
