Hi Guys !
Fibre to cabinet then copper to house.
New filters ,set up , etc , all as instructed .
Hub is new BT 5.
Connection is wireless - 5M to hub through one 150mm breeze wall , using secondary phone socket.
6 days since install.
Promised speed 35 - 40 meg.
Actual ( using various testers ) 19 down , 9 up.- constant.
Have tried restarting hub - to no avail.
Have phoned Mr. India - reported "line fault - which was shown as "fault cleared " in ! hour.
Now feeling ripped off / pi**ed off / & generaly I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO !!

Turn off "smart set up" on the homehub, see link how to do that.
When ever you do a speed test it should be done with a wired connection. There are too many variables to give an accurate reading if it is done with a wireless connection.
Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results
and use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.
You can maybe check your sync speeds on the Homehub 5.

u may have to login with the admin password found on the Card with the Wireless key first then reclick the link.
Have turned off "smart set-up ".
Unfortunately I can not get a cable from Hub to computer !

slow infinity speed (wireless ) SOLVED by off duty BT Engineer.
fitted TP-LINK direct at computer into ethernet port.
Result - 37.5 down : 9.1 up
However - many thanks to all who offered help.
