I was in an unfamiliar town today (Horsham in West Sussex), sitting in a park with no significant buildings within about 100 yards (just a cafe). I noticed that my phone was showing a WiFi connection which proved to BT Openzone. I later had a look at the hotspots for the area and could see none obviously covering the park, though there were some in the surrounding area.
How does Openzone manage that sort of coverage?
Thanks. I wondered if it might be in the cafe but I didn't happen to go inside. However, when I tried it a bit later much nearer to the cafe it had disappeared.
When you say "a commercial site", do you mean that it is not actually run by BT even though it is called "BT Openzone"?
