Hello,
I am looking for an alternative router to the Smart Hub 2 that will support a 4G sim as a failover option when the Fibre goes down.
Any help appreciated.
Thank you
Possibly https://www.draytek.co.uk/products/business/vigor-2860l
Or for business accounts https://business.bt.com/products/broadband-and-internet/4g-assure/
What service do you have VDSL, G.Fast or FTTP?
I am on FTTP
As you don't need a modem/router, just a router, you could also consider the Netgear R7100LG https://www.netgear.co.uk/home/products/mobile-broadband/lte-gateways/R7100LG.aspx
Great, thank you. Do any of these routers need any config? or just plug and play?
They will just need the generic PPPoE username and password of bthomehub@btbroadband.com and BT respectively to connect to broadband but I have no idea about configuring the failover to 4G
