BT Smart Hub - Home Server

Hi there,

I have Windows server installed on a pc which i am wanting to run as a home server so i can access anywhere in the world. I also have a few personal websites that i would like to host through IIS on port 80 (the internet).

Can this be achieved with the smart hub? if so what do i need to do?

Re: BT Smart Hub - Home Server

Hi @hardyjames86

To get you started, on your smart hub go to Home -> Advanced settings -> Broadband -> Dynamic DNS.

To use a dynamic domain name system (DNS) service, you'll first need to register with a service provider. The service
provider will send you the information that you'll need to set up your BT Smart Hub (including your service username,
password and host name).

Just one example of a Dynamic DNS Serivice.

Here's an article that may help. Just be prepared to bash your head against the wall 😁
