I think i have a similar problem to you, it seems for a couple of weeks the connection was fine and then one day my ipad could not connect to the internet, i found if i uplug my apple tv then i could connect which was strange since that never happended to the home hub 5.

 

BT please fix the wifi problems.

Got my new smart hub 6 today, worked fine for a the first hour and then the 5ghz network went, cant conntect to it now, not even showing up 😞

 

BT SORT IT OUT!

Had 2 of these hubs now and both are uselss.... they keep green lighting... what the hell is the point of selling us a router that won't stay awake...

 

Completely ruining my game scores and also getting me bad sport for dropping out of missions...

 

Also **bleep** everyone in the house off with the constant issues... I'm now going to have no other choice other than buying another damned router.

 

I want compensating BT and I won't be renewing..., thats a promise

5ghz channel playing up again today.

Seriously BT, how can you put out that advert, when in reality your product is just not fit for purpose yet?

Even by your standards (and based upon 15+ years of experience dealing with you for business and personal) this is pretty bad.

Mine seems to be holding up ok at the moment but time will tell, have connected most of my devices to the 5Ghz wifi so giving it a good test.  Never had this problem with the HH5 with nearly 2 years worth of use.

 

Hope we can get afix as otherwise I'm still quiet happy with the HH6 wifi range etc.

I'm really sorry about the problems you are experiencing with the wireless signal on your Smart Hubs as I appreciate this must be very frustrating and I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to you. We have fed this back to the Hub team asking for it to be investigated and as soon as we have an update we'll post back here.

Just got my new Smart Hub today and at the moment wishing I had not.

Appreciate it probably needs an update but nothing connects on 2.4g unless I turn off security.

5ghz works fine.

How can security effect this?

Oh yes and the Smart Home Hub manager only works well in Chrome.

Safari it won't accept the admin password and in Firefox UI is awful.

This on a latest iMAC retina.

 

My Netgear is calling me back. I switched to Netgear because the Hub 5 was rubbish is you have lots of wifi connections.

New Smart Hub doesnt seem to good so far.

 

Does the Hub update automatically?

I will let it do an update.

Then if problem persists revert to my net gear.

None of my 2.4ghz items will connect with security on.

Just will not give them a useable ip.
