BT TV received today and mini connectors don’t work?

I received BT TV today and I cannot get the data light on the mini connectors to light up, unfortunately I do have to use an extension lead or double plug because of the position wall socket where the broadband hub is (something directly above).

Any ideas, I’ve tried everything (resetting etc).

It sounds like the mini connectors might be faulty as they should just work when plugged in, I would return them for replacement.

There's no beating an ethernet cable to link the hub and TV box but if that's not possible then you can connect to the ethernet port on the Complete Wi-Fi disks (the black ones) if you have one, it's a better option than mini-connectors
