BT WiFi Discs

Hi, BT have sent me 3 of these when I don't actually have a need for them lol They say I only have two.

I get full signal everywhere around the house. I did have some questions though:

- Are these useful for anything else?

- Am I allowed to sell one of them given they think I have 2 when I have 3?!

Thanks

They extend the Wi-Fi around your home, they also have an ethernet port on that back which is handy for devices that don't have Wi-Fi (desktop PC for example)

No, they are on loan just like your SmartHub 2 and any other equipment you've been sent, BT will know you have 3, I suspect one was ordered as a standalone order so it's not attached to the broadband, it will still show active on the account and be required to be returned.

BT WiFi Discs

Hi again,

Is there any point setting these up if I get 75% signal in other rooms?

Also, will my phone for example, keep reconnecting to the nearest disc meaning I lose connection for a few seconds here and there?

Thanks

Re: BT WiFi Discs

The whole point of the discs is that they form a mesh system so that devices transition from one to another seamlessly and (in theory) connect to the best signal.

Re: BT WiFi Discs

Is there any point using them then if I've got 75% signal minimum in certain rooms?
