I see it's called Smart Hub not Hub 6 and costs £50 would be very interested to hear what your wi-fi experience is like with this once you get it as mine drops out every few minutes.
I've been having what I assume many on here have been getting: constant drop outs with HH5.
My situation is slightly odd, as my three iOS devices (iPhone6, iPadv3 and iPadMini2) all keep dropping off WiFi. Like constantly!
All are updated the latest OS, and I've reset HH5, 'Forgot this Network' and restarted time after time.
I choose the HH5 WiFI network, it connects, so I quit out and go to an app and boom... lose WiFi
Anyone have this kind of issue and can advise any solution?
and here is another report of a man trying everything to stop the wifi drop out issue, i have tried everything including every idea in here but i still get random drop outs on 5 and 2.4 ghz.
I just got this hub as a free upgrade from my hub 2.0. oh dear.....
I shall report this to my contact in customer care and see if they..."care".
good luck everybody.
After fiddling with steam home streaming i accidently came across my own experience with maybe the root of "my" problem.
It seems for my the 5ghz part of the router only has about 2.5 metres support, as soon as i leave the room when on smart wireless it seems to want to start using 2,4 ghz. i then split them and sure enough the 2,4 ghz signal is much stronger.
Can anyone else check this to see if they share my experience?
You rouge's BT, sending me that router with iffy WiFi or was it the devices, you caused me some earache, anyway many thanks you Sages for your links. I
I too have just started to experience constant drop outs with the HH5 A. Are these issues BT's way of getting you for fork out another £70 and before I do, does anyone know if the new Smart Hub is any better?
You would have thought that the new hub would be free to existing customers where they have issues.
