BT homehub 6 replacement for google nest wifi

Hi there,

Due to double NAT issues, I have decided to replace my BT homehub 6 with a Draytek vigor 130 modem which I am hoping to connect my best WiFi kit to.

Firstly, have I got the right kit? I understand the HH6 doesn't have a bridging mode like my old virgin vibre router did. (I've recently moved to a place that doesn't have virgin fibre - hence the BT) this is why I have this modem which I was told was compatible with BT. My first problem is that it doesnt seem to get an internet connection when I plug my laptop into it via ethernet cable.

Secondly and assuming that I can get this modem working with BT, I assume my Google nest WiFi  will just plug straight in and work like it did before?

If possible, I'd really like an idiots guide to getting this working as I am not 100% au fair with all this networking bit!

Thank you in advance!

Hi, thanks for this, but it doesn't look like it's been solved. Hence my post.
