BT seems to be blocking access to certain website, albeit in an odd way

Hi there, I’ve noticed when trying to access the site xvideos I get this message appear, “safari cannot open the page because the network connection was lost.” My phones is definitely connected to the internet and the same happens on my other devices.

Now I’ve tested other sites of a similar nature and they all work fine. Also I don’t have any kind of parental controls switched on. Oddly enough though, when I search xvideos in google and click that link, it works fine. It also works if I physically type in https:// in front of the address before loading.

Additionally the web address and site works fine if I turn off my wifi and use my phones cellular network.

No big deal but any info regarding the issue would be much appreciated. I wonder if it’s BT testing a new mechanism for April?

Thanks

Hey, yea That’s why I posted this topic. That one didn’t really answer the question. Cheers for the info though.

Bt are not blocking the site.  Accessible from here as explained in the other thread.

Try TorBrowser if you want to get to that site.  Could be a routing issue, Safari acting up, dodgy DNS servers, take your pick.  But the site is not blocked by BT as can be seen in the image confirming a BT connection.  The site in question is freely accessible as noted in the first tab.  That's all of the sites landing page you get posted here.

Yea, it’s really odd. It basically works fine on WiFi as long as https is put in front of it. Without it just drops the connection. Just really love to know the reason why as it works without https on cellular and other ISPs 🤔

Edit...

Odd! It’s working now. Even without https in front of it. Bizarre!
