Re: BT smart hub 2 proxy issues

Hello,

We have rececntly upgraded to the smart hub 2 and ever since i have not been able to upgrade my windows 10 PC. I tried reusing the old hub and that seemed to repair the issues, but its not a sustainable fix. When using the troubleshooter the error message says "Windows could not automaticaly detect this systems proxy settings"

have you turned of smart setup

Try a factory reset of the hub, bear in mind that this will re-enable Smart Setup and you will need to turn it off again

Hi,

This could be a problem with you Windows 10 settings. I’ve noticed some browser add-ons add proxy settings under “Control Panel – Internet Options – Connections – LAN settings”. Check to see if the Proxy Server is set and, if so, uncheck it.

Hopefully this will be the problem.

Can you get online with your Windows machine? if not then try the following

Right click on the Windows start button

Click Run

Type CMD into the box that appears; [hit enter]

In the black window which will appear, type (or copy and paste) ipconfig /renew; [hit enter] (without the semi-colon or anything after it)
