BTWifi-X or BTWi-fi to which do I connect?

BT’s help page on BT Wi-Fi app says to connect to BTWi-fi.

I have additionally ‘found’ in BT’s Wi-Fi app a connection profile, which I downloaded and installed and can connect to BTWifi-X with it.

Both of the above ways to connect work for me.

However why the two methods?

Are BT moving from one Wi-Fi name to the other?

BT WiFi-X is only available when connecting with an iPhone and is the preferred method if you have an iPhone.

BTWifi-X works on my iPad as well.

Where is this information documents in BT’s FAQs or help?

An Internet search of BTWifi FAQ came up with this which does not mention BTWifi-X

Get wireless Internet | Find wi-fi hotspots | BT Wi-Fi (btwifi.co.uk)

There is no specific page about BTWifi X
