Blocked url's/whitelisting

I've recently come to BT broadband from Sky and there is one particular site (wholesaler) I always use as working from home  that is continually blocked i.e. connection time out. I can access the site from my mobile using 4G  but I need to use it from my desktop PC.

I've turned off all parental controls, cleared cache & cookies, flushed DNS and am at the end of ideas.

Any tips/advice out there? BT technical didn't know how to help me and I've seen a topic called 'whitelisting' url pages?

Hellllllp

Re: Blocked url's/whitelisting

This is the webpage message I get

The connection has timed out

The server at javis.co.uk is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Re: Blocked url's/whitelisting

Try changing the DNS settings on your computer so that it uses Google Public DNS, as it could be an issue with BTs DNS server.

That site is visible on my connection, but I am using OpenDNS not BTs DNS.

Hi, welcome to the forums.

It's working for me on BT DNS.

Are you using any form of VPN?
