All new wireless connections are deemed public unless you change the connection type to private. Public connections do not allow file sharing.

Look at the wireless connection properties and see if it says public or private.

Connection in Networking is OK.

However, it seems that, for some reason beknown only to itself, that the Firewall settings within Norton for the WiFi network was set to Public. Changing that to Trusted resolves the issue.
