Broadband reach

Go to solution

Hi

I’ve currently got fibre broadband but it doesn’t reach the bottom of my garden, what can I do so it reaches that far?

Many thanks

Which BT Home hub do you have, and where is it located in the house?

How long is your garden?

Which is the nearest room which overlooks your garden?

I have a BT Smart Hub Fibre 1. It is located downstairs at the front of the house.

We have a conservatory which overlooks the garden and the garden is about 15 metres long.

Thanks

Then what I would suggest, is one of these.

https://shop.bt.com/products/bt-mini-wi-fi-home-hotspot-600-kit-084288-BVFF.html

It generates a separate wireless network, which should reach out into the garden.

Plug the main unit into the home hub, and the other unit in the conservatory, provided there is a mains socket in there.

Excellent 😀, they usually work quite well provided you leave them as a separate wifi hotspot name, and not try to copy the home hub settings.
