Good morning, my daughter has recently had bt Internet installed. Her bt socket is by her door to her property and she wants the hub in her living room. I'm looking at using an extension cable from her socket to her hub, about 15 mts. I've read there are two types of connectors RJ45 and RJ11 that I could purchase. Which type of connector is the right one to use??
Thanks
Wayne
Depends which service she has. If it's Full Fibre (FTTP) with an ONT on the wall with LEDs, then it's RJ45. If it FTTC with a regular BT master socket then RJ11.
she has just sent me this photo, does this help.
RJ11
Thank you.
