We have a garage that is separate from our property and we would like to put some CCTV in it. Unfortunately it is to far away to connect to out home Wi-Fi directly and we have no way of running a network cable but it is next to a BT Wi-Fi hotspot. Is there any way I could use the BT Wi-Fi hotspot to connect a camera so it can be seen from out home? Thanks in advance.

No, you would not be able to use a BT Wifi hotspot as it needs to be authenticated using a web browser, and will disconnect after two hours. There is also a fair usage policy in force.
Does the garage connect to your household mains supply? If it does, then powerline networking adapters would normally work.

If your CCTV does not have a Ethernet connection, then you need to make sure the powerline adapter has Wi-Fi built in.
An Ethernet connection is preferred, as Wi-Fi can be easily blocked.
Thanks for the reply Keith. Unfortunately it's not on the same electrical connection. It's on a separate peace of land a fair distance away. I guess a mobile sim router would be the only option.
