Call of Duty Black Ops 2, server down?.

I've just come back with Black Ops 2 and wanted to play online soon as possible. But it now keeps saying servers are down. Is this an Infinity BT issue, cause I was reading the thread up above about port forwarding and I did not know whether this was the problem but is it though the servers are actually down for Black ops 2?. Anyone know.

Thanks.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops 2, server down?.

Your question may be better answered on the Activision Forums.

I would suspect they will give the excuse that they were not exepecting to sell X million copies of the game on day1 and therefore only set up a server that could only handle 12 players on-line at anyone time.

And as it's Activision picking up the bill to run the servers and not the users, they will take their sweet time to correct their lack of judgement.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops 2, server down?.

Has anyone else tried and tested the Black Ops 2 servers today, xbox 360 not PC, lately?. I've been on the forums and it seems it has been an ongoing thing for a couple of days for a few people.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops 2, server down?.

Was on last night, only problem I had was with moderate nat.
Me and my son where both playing (two xboxes on same connection )After a reboot of router I still had same problem, me with a moderate nat and him with a open nat.
Never had a problem before with nats and UPnP is on and the other cod games have always been fine.
I will try again tonight to see if there is any more problems.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops 2, server down?.

Write, I can get on the online bit but it just keeps loading to the server and will not actually progress to the actuall game. I do not have any trouble with any other games online, just seems to be this one, it just keeps on loading and loading on the screen, nothing else happens. Anyone know at all?. I've tried to open the port but it keeps erroring me with port already used for another program with a conflict sign, with a red triangle by it, so I cannot open the port for call of duty, I have just disabled the firewall so its all open, cannot seem to get a resolution to the problem.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops 2, server down?.

Hi MBR123,

Take a look at spots post here

β€œSimply disabling uPnP didn't work for me, I had to do a factory reset first.

In other words, once you get the error "Conflict - The game or application you’ve selected conflicts with an application () you’ve already assigned to another device"  then the only way to get port forwarding working is to do these steps to the BT Home Hub 3 configuration;

1. Reset it to factory settings.

2. Disable uPnP.

3. Configure port forwarding.”

Let us know if that helps.

Cheers

David

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops 2, server down?.

Thats a bummer, did not really want to do a factory reset. Is the Black Ops servers just too busy or is it a port thing?.

Why don't you check on Activision's Forum? It will have all the current news on server status.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops 2, server down?.

I'm not signing up m8ty just to find out if the servers are busy or not and if others are experiencing the same problem. I was just hoping someone here was having the same issue as me lately, like in the past 1 hour or so. It might just be an Infinity thing, port forwarding etc.,or me being very inpatient with the game.
