Can I remove this NTL box?

hi guys

We've just moved into a home that has the ntl boxes on the walls shown in the pitcure. One on the right and one on the left above the openreach one, which my router is connected to.

We're redecorating so I'm hoping I can remove them and just leave the openreach one. Does anyone know if the ntl boxes have any impact on my broadband and will my broadband still work if I take them off? I'm not sure if the one on the left is connected to the openreach one in any way.

Re: Can I remove this NTL box?

I have no idea why you are asking about NTL boxes on a BT forum.

Take the covers off and see what's connected to what.

Re: Can I remove this NTL box?

There is no connection between the NTL boxes  and the Openreach network so you could remove them , but if you ever did consider using Virgin Media, they potentially could assume that those  NTL boxes are present and progress any order as though the equipment was still there , ( effectively a self install that would fail ) obviously probably would be any subsequent occupants not yourself as you are aware the removal …but TBH , chances are the equipment is not of any use , and wouldn’t be reused by VM even if they had an order  for the address , so you’re probably pretty safe to remove it if you don’t want it there .
