Can I reuse previous commercial FTTP connection

Go to solution

I have moved into a property that was previously used as offices with a fibre connection but is now converted to residential use. Looking up via old and new postcodes BT say that they can't see any FTTP and yet I'm pretty sure that the photo here shows fibre and it's in my property. Anyone know whether this can be reinstated for me to have ultrafast broadband?

Any help appreciated!

Welcome to this user forum.

That will be for an Optical Private Circuit, probably a 2Mb DWSS (Digital Wideband Serving Section), which would have been routed direct to equipment in the exchange, so would not be suitable for FTTP, which is why there would be no record of it.

There are lots of these type of connections in commercial premises.
