I'm trying to get wifi working in my shed. I can get a very weak signal if I place the disc on one side of the shed. The current location isn't convenient because every time the wind slams the door, it gets knocked off its perch. If I move it 30 cm away where there is a shelf, this won't happen but there is no signal at this location.
I was just wondering whether I can substitute the disc for my hybrid connect, which is just sitting on the shelf consuming electricity but not doing any work and move the disc to the other end of the shed to cover the back of the garden. To meet the T&C does it have to be always connected to the router?

The hybrid connect only connects to the hub and only connects when you have lost your broadband input to the hub.
If the shed is on the same consumer unit as your hub, just use wifi hotspot powerline adapters.
Hi @cup The Hybrid Connect is purely a 4G modem which is an add on modem to the SH2. It cannot be used for any other purpose. It is not a router.
