It wasn’t a direct link - just the name of the website
But it appears on the forum as a clickable link.
However, MS Edge offers a warning that the site is "not secure" - not to enter passwords or credit card numbers. I use onedotcom and wordpress and think I had this sort of thing with them but there was a plug-in that sorted it. Probably not a BT problem but either over-zealous browsers or some site design issue.
The text you posted as a link points to https://community.bt.com/t5/Home-setup-Wi-Fi-network/Cannot-access-my-own-uk-website-except-via-VPN/...
the hyperlinking is not of my making
the site address is http://www.formbycivicsociety.org.uk
A mate on ee can access via google search and clicking the link
I’ve just checked the above link by copying and pasting into a browser and whilst the VPN is active the site is accessible - turn VPN off and 404
I’m checking with hosting company just in case they are filtering/blocking Bt addresses

Because it is an HTTP site rather than HTTPS.
@licquorice yes - that was what I had to fix.
I get a 404 using either BT's DNS or Google's DNS. Ok via O2 4G
Possibly BT is picky about it being an insecure site. Does your hosting company not offer SSL certs for sites?
