Thank you Leanne for your reply
I already have an outstanding pcomplaint with BT as well as the intention to get back to me in 3 days time.
I will wait for follow up out of courtesy but will contact your broadband tech experts if nothing happens.
As the number appears withdrawn do you know if it is held in isolation for a period of time or if it id immediately available for reallocation?
I would really like the number back with or without transfer.
Tks for your help.
Thanks @imjolly . I upgraded the Broadband line to Digital Voice a few weeks ago and that actually went smoothly.
Obviusly to get DV on the standalone landline that also would need to be upgraded to broadband which was and remains my eventual intention once (and if!) I get it back.
FTTP is now available but I am very wary of requesting it as I have also heard of number changes being made sometimes and the only way to ensure the same number is retained is to wait for BT to offer it?
Is this correct because if so I will wait unless the number transfer goes ahead in the next week or so.
I am fairly annoyed by the mess which has been created because in my first conversation with a service rep when the transfer was considered, I specifically stated that no immediate change should be made to the existing setup. Yet immediately the number was made inactive - whatever that means. I have the conversation transcript retained.
A quick update on my number transfer issue. Following a discussion with yet another BT service representative last week, I was pleased to track a fresh order for the number transfer which was activated yesterday.
Morning @chrisharvey2a
Thanks for coming back to us with an update and letting us know the number transfer was activated for you.
Have a lovely weekend.
Leanne.
