Cisco Any Connect Client fails with new BT HUb

I connect to the office network via VPN  using Cisco AnyConnect client.

Recently switched over to BT Broadband and not now able to connect - DNS resolution errors and timeouts.

Other devices non VPN work fine.

Already switched off Smart Setup but that failed to help

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks

Re: Cisco Any Connect Client fails with new BT HUb

No problems connecting before you switched to BT?

To start with, try rebooting your machine.

Failing that, try turning on Port Clamping:-

Using a browser, navigate to 192.168.1.254

Click Advanced

Click Broadband

Click the VPN tab

turn on port clamping.

Re: Cisco Any Connect Client fails with new BT HUb

Seems this is a common fault, I've copied and pasted the answer marked useful by 5 others from

https://community.cisco.com/t5/vpn/the-vpn-connection-failed-due-to-unsuccessful-domain-name/td-p/24...

"the anyconnect.xml file had become corrupted, meaning the format of the file was no longer usable by the VPN client. Connecting to another region (different set of VPN HEs) caused a new file to be downloaded, and then we were able to connect to the original HEs. We don't know why the anyconnect.xml file became corrupted, but this fixed the problem in all cases."
