Complete Wifi disc connected to another disc rather than hub - is this ok

Go to solution

I have recently added a third BT Complete Wifi disc to my hub as was having problems in the furthest part of our house where our SkyQ main box is. However rather than connecting to the hub for its traffic it is connecting to one of our other two discs. Have looked in my bthomehub admin settings and it shows the attached. All seems to be working fine but my question is whether it is correct for a disc to piggy back onto another disc rather than not to the hub? Thanks.

Yes, AFAIK, that exactly how these discs operate. They pick up the best signal, whether that is from the hub or from another disc.
Since you say you got the extra disc because you were having WiFi problems in the part of your house where you installed the extra disc, that extra disc would also be "having problems" contacting the hub. So it did what it is designed to do and connected to another disc which provided a stronger signal.
