I have just upgraded my BT hub 5 to BT hub 6 using wifi. My Canon printer MG3650 connected wirelessly to Hub 5 no problem. Now with Hub 6 the Canon SSID isn’t recognised ? Any thoughts on how I connect the Canon printer ?

if just hh6 then split the networks http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/56419/~/how-do-i-split-my-bt-hubs-ssid-%28wireless-ne...
I understand by turning smart Hub off you lose some WiFi coverage for more distant devices ?
Also do I turn smart Hub back on once the WiFi printer connection is made ?
If your Homehub 5 was working as expected and doing everything you wanted it to why "upgrade" to the Smarthub. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
It’s a very good point. I was guided by BT consumer that it would improve some previous WiFi performance issues. Alas I think I will switch back to Hub 5 as performance is ok and it will allow to connect back other devices like thermostat controls over wifi
There would appear to be little if any difference between the HH5 and the Smarthub wireless signal strength and some people have found that they have problems connecting some devices to it.
Newer doesn't always mean better.
I think the only difference, as I understand is Hub 5 doesn’t support the Wi-fi discs s that serve to create a Wi-fi mesh network to extend in home coverage.
I found the wireless was better coverage on the hh6 and sh2 than my older hub 5
The HH5 works fine with the BT Wholehome mesh system.
It doesn't work with this system.
