Connecting Home Hub 6 (Smart Hub) to ASUS Wireless adapter

I'm trying to replace my old Billion router with a BT Smart Hub. Everything is working except I'm not able to connect to my ASUS Wireless adapter, which is plugged into my Synology DS415+ NAS. The ASUS adapter is a USB-N53 and I'm a Mac OS X user.

All my other devices can connect to the Smart Hub but the ASUS / Synology is not seen. Documentation on setting up the wireless adaptor is scant so I'd very much appreciate if someone could help me get this working.

Thanks in anticipation !

Not using a Smart Hub myself but some issues are caused by the "smart" setting on the hub's wifi where it determines the channel you use , maybe the Asus adapter has issues with that.

Hi Tim

Do you mean that I should set a fixed channel number ?

Re: Connecting Home Hub 6 (Smart Hub) to ASUS Wireless adapter

Yes that's exactly what I mean. Doing this has resolved connection issues for many users I believe.

The other possible issue might be using device IP addresses assigned by DHCP. If the above doesn't fix the problem then assigning a fixed IP address for the adapter outside of the DHCP range might help.
