After long periods of fault free reliable internet, every device connected to my router constantly has a 'resolving host' issue. Loading websites can take significant times and constantly fails (time out) and often only part of the website loads with missing pictures and videos etc...
When a connection is made (such as streaming using iPlayer) the internet is fast and fine - it's just a very frequent resolving host issue that occurss. The issue occurs on all of my devices, windows, mac, iPads etc...

Thanks for your reply John but this isn't the same problem. The thread is intermittent problems accessing certain websites.
My problem is accessing any website from any computer on my WiFi or LAN - the page takes a long time to load and hangs on 'resolving host'. It sometimes takes 10 seconds to load a website and often the images don't load or any media, sometimes the page doesn't load altogether
I have also tried changing the DNS to an open DNS server but this doesn't resolve the problem either.
I have been exactly the same problem.
All devices attached either by Lan or WiFI have intermittent resolution problems...it's better during the day, worse at night.
We've done tests with Google DNS, same issue.
ADSL connection seems fine and speed is good (about as fast as it will go.)..which indicates that the problem is not ADSL but may be either the Home Hub 3 or something in the BT infrastructure.
We are due Infinty roll out this month (delayed 3 months) - we speculated that our problems are due to issues with that roll out since it started and has been getting worse since the original FTTC avaialbility date.
Was this issue ever resolved ?
I am sufferring the same symptoms, and I beleive that BT are in the process of installing fibre to the cabinet in my village.
Can I expect things will go back to normal ?
Or do I need to contact BT to sort this out ?
From other questions in the forum, it appears that a new Home Hub has solved this problem for others.
However, I cannot fnd any way to report this fault to BT on-line.
I am forced into a speed test - which gives good results, because it doesn't suffer the huge latency issue associated with DNS lookups. Then it won't allow me to report a fault.
Does anyone know a URL where I can just report my problem to BT ?
(I am currently forced to use my mobile data via mobile hot-spot on my 'phone.)
