Why Wont BT allow us to set a custom DNS on the bt smart hub 6.

I have many uses for this Pi-Hole for example

You can set custom DNS on your devices, you don't have to use the hub's DNS.

Yes thanks,

Thats what im going to have to do, although i wish BT would allow us to change the DNS at router level on the home version like almost every other provider does.

If you're using pi-hole as your DNS server, then just set it up to be the DHCP server as well.  DHCP on pi-hole will then dish out the ip addresses and the DNS server address which will be the pi-hole.  Your BT server may still be a DNS server, but it won't have any clients.
