Re: Do I need to be home?

Unless you need work doing on the line. i.e new socket, can't see a reason you would need to be home.

Re: Do I need to be home?

If you plug a phone into the socket , do you get a dialtone ?
If there is no dialtone, then , you probably should be in , between the times they gave you on the appointment date, you may not see an engineer , as it's still possible your line could be reactivated remotely , but if they need to be in your property , and you are not in, OR could raise a missed appointment charge , and that charge could be passed onto you
