Draytek Vigor2860 FTTP Configuration

Go to solution

I've searched but can't find anything on the forum, apologies if this has been covered.

Currently use Draytek Vigor2860 with my ADSL and very pleased with performance.

Ducting has been installed to my house so finally FTTP will be coming.

Does anyone use this router and have it connected to their FTTP?

I've ascertained the WAN2 port can be configured but I can't get a definitive answer from Draytek support.

Any help appreciated.

WAN2 will need to be configured for PPPoE

DrayTek Knowledgebase

Username:- your email address or your current login details for ADSL

Password:- bt

Depending on if you have BTTV you may also need to configure the VLAN

I haven't used mine for years as I went with an AmplifiHD mesh system. I don't have BTTV.

@JonUK  VLAN connection is handled by the ONT so no need to configure in the Draytek.

What FTTP speed are you goiing for as this 2860 model firewall is limited to around 300Mb/s.

In truth I hadn't gone in to the detail - right now getting an improvement is exciting enough 😊

Not even sure when the service will be available yet.

If I'm going to be limited I may have to rethink my setup so many thanks for drawing this to my attention - appreciated 👍
