Dropping wifi

My wifi keeps dropping. I have the latest BT adsl router.

I tried restarting router and resetting.

I tried different computers. Different browsers. But still got the problem.

But it happens quite often.

Any suggestions on how to get it working?

Thanks for any help

Re: Dropping wifi

Hi @robartist and welcome back.

Sorry you're having problems with your wifi connection. Have you tried switching off Smart Setup ? Have you tried splitting the channels? Take a look at How do I split my BT Hub's SSID (wireless network name)?

Cheers

David

Re: Dropping wifi

Hi and thanks for reply. I have smart hub 2 so I think I can't split SSID name??

And yes smart setup is off.

Could it be a faulty unit? Thanks

Re: Dropping wifi

Hi @robartist,

Thanks for getting back. There's always a possibility it could be faulty. Is the hub in the same room as the devices you're trying to connect to?

Cheers

David

Re: Dropping wifi

Yes in same room.

Also, everything has been working fine for months .

Anything else I can do?

Re: Dropping wifi

Try selecting the wifi channels manually instead of auto

i would use a wifi analyser on your mobile to see the networks about you and the channels in use and then select a free or less congested channel
