Engineer arrival date

Hello,
I have received a message when the engineer is coming to set up my broadband as I'm a new customer. It's around 4 weeks from now which is quite a while, I'm wondering is there any fee I could pay to speed up the process?

No you can not pay to speed it up. You could phone BT and ask if the date can be changed. If you have no luck the first time keep trying and you may be lucky.

The majority of broadband installs are now classed as self install. The engineer connects your line into the broadband network by running a jumper wire in the local PCP. You then just plug the router in.
