If you need a Microsoft repair tool you download it from Microsoft. Sounds the best way to me.
Fully agree with you GG to many unofficial download sites that end up piggybacking unwanted rubbish on them for now leave well alone
It is unlikely to be a Windows problem as I have it on a number of PCs all with different versions of Windows. I also have the same problems with an Android tablet and an ipad.
The real question is when is BT going to sort it out, I have emailed BT but I am not holding my breath, normally it is no real problem if I lose email for a bit but I am selling a house and it is quite handy to get emails.
