In looking to run a cat 8 shielded ethernet cable (or alternative) from my primary router in my house - to my office in the garden approx 30 m away. Can this be run through the same conduit as the electrical supply. If not - any alternatives? Thanks
While the shielding should ensure there is no interference, I'm pretty sure electrical safety regs would not allow it in the same conduit. (I might be wrong there as I'm not a sparky). By the way, Cat 8 is way over spec. for a domestic network and used to be only rated to 30m. Exterior rated Cat 6 would be more appropriate.
