Extending Router Coverage or Bridging?

I have just installed a BT Home Hub 5 and have a redundant Thomson TG585v7 Wireless Router.

If I enable WDS can I connect to my Home Hub wirelessly with the Thomson Router and use the 4 Ethernet Ports to connect to my other equipment upstairs.

or

If I enable Bridge mode on the Thomson can I connect the Home Hub and the Thomson box together via an Ethernet cable and get 3 Ethernet connections in the lounge and 3 in the upstair rooms

I know how to access the Thomson Router using Telnet to modify the required settings for WDS or Bridge mode, it's just that I don't know what they should be.

Regards

Fred

If either or both are possible, can a technical wizard please talk me through how to set it up.

Re: Extending Router Coverage or Bridging?

The home hubs do not support WDS.

You should be able to  connect the Thomson wireless router as an an additional wired access point, as its very similar to the early home hubs.

This page should help.
