Which is the BEST way of supplying a FAST connection from a home hub on fibre broadband, to a garden office approximately 20 metres away from where the hub is positioned? The office will need the lions share of the connection during the day. Should I connect via a wired connection over this distance, by means of a plug in extender, or through whole home wifi adapters?
My situation was slightly different in that wifi from my router (upstairs, front of house) wasn't reaching into my garden (downstairs, back of house). I solved it by using a powerline extender downstairs plugged into a spare router used just as a wireless access point. I now get excellent coverage throughout the house and garden although it does require selecting a different wifi source as necessary - but that's no great hassle.
