Extending wi-fi

Go to solution

williboy

Hello all, this is my first post so please be gentle.

I have BThome hub 6 as the main router.

I also have a BThome hub 5 that I would like to connect to the network  to extend the wi-fi and provide wired connections (in the converted loft).

Can someone help with the settings

Change the address of the HH5 from 192.168.1.254 to 192.168.1.10, disable DHCP, disable smart setup, split the wifi bands and set channels manually to different channels to the HH6 then connect a LAN port on the HH6 to a LAN port on the HH5.

I am assuming you have already disabled smart setup and split the wifi on the HH6, if not, do so.
