I have an external hard drive of about 500 GB which I want to attach with BT HOME HUB 3 and share its contents (movies etc) with other computers attached to the BT HH3 (wireless).
I have windows 7 installed on all the laptops if that makes any difference... could anyone please guide me how I can have the hard drive over the home network throught BT HH3.
....thank you everyone for replying to my post.... I have tried the number and it works for a normal USB (4GB) but when I attach the 500 GB, it doesn't bring anything ... any idea why...?
Does it only work with a drive that is formatted as 'fat 32' I tried it with mine and it is 'ntfs' and was not recognised?
The memoray stick which worked was formated as fat32 but the external hard drive is not. I tried to reformat it to fat32 but my computer doesn't give me fat32 option...may be its the windows 7 thing... or may be its something with the hard drive.... anyways, I will try to format it with a computer running an older version of windows to see if that gives me an option of fat32 format... will write again later...
